Floating Yogi/Studio Residency Prep Guide

A cozy checklist for hosting your own classes in our sanctuary.

We’re so excited to share this soft, neutral, wellness-centered space with you. This guide walks you through everything you need to know to open, host, and close the studio with ease.

Think of this as your little roadmap for creating your own dreamy, grounded class experience under the Neutral Moon.

⭐️ Before You Arrive (Important!)

To keep energy safe, grounded, and aligned for everyone who steps into the space, we require all floating yoga teachers to submit a current Certificate of Insurance (COI) and proof of RYT Certification before teaching. You only need to submit your RYT Certification once and your COI every time its renewed.

Your COI must list Neutral Moon Studio as an ‘additional insured’ with the following info:

Neutral Moon Studio
141 Mangum Street SW, Suite 300
Atlanta, GA 30313

If you submit your insurance without Neutral Moon Studio listed, we will ask you to re-do it.

Once submitted and approved, your COI will be kept on file and you’ll be cleared to host classes, workshops, or wellness gatherings in the studio.

Why we require this:
It protects you, your students, and the studio- a practical little spell of safety and professionalism so your offering can unfold with ease.

Please email your COI + a copy of your RYT Certificate to: hello@neutralmoon.com (note: your reservation will be cancelled with no refund if not received within 72 hrs of your scheduled class reservation).

Schedule Violation Policy

In the spirit of honoring time + energy for yourself, our studio staff, your fellow wellness leaders and your students, please review our updated Schedule Violation Policy.

One of the ways we keep Neutral Moon feeling calm, spacious, and supportive for everyone is by honoring time. This means beginning and ending your class on time, with a small grace window of about 5 minutes on either side when needed.

Rather than charging late fees, we will take a community-centered approach. After (3) timing violations (10 minutes or more over time), facilitators will simply be removed from membership and any future classes/events will be removed from the schedule. Respectfully. Mind your class time to help protect the experience for everyone around you.

Once you have turned onto Mangum Street, turn RIGHT down the first available gravel driveway and then our parking lot will be on your left directly behind the tall brick building with the loading ramp facing a peach dumpster. Your unique 6-digit visitor code (provided on day of arrival) will activate 30 minutes prior to your session start time and only works once. You will receive an error message if you attempt to use this code too early. If your code isn't working (and you are not attempting to access the building early), please find "Neutral Moon Studio" in the callbox directory and dial it to be buzzed in. Message us for additional assistance.

1. Type your 6-digit visitor code into the callbox keypad

Preparing Your Students

To help your class flow smoothly and ensure everyone arrives grounded and informed, please share the following details with your students before class:

1. Send Them Our Student Prep Guide

Share the link to Neutral Moon Studio’s Yoga Student Prep Guide so your students know what to bring, where to park, how early to arrive, and what to expect inside the space. This helps ease first-time nerves and keeps the experience consistent for everyone.

2. Provide the Studio Address

Neutral Moon Studio is located at 141 Mangum Street SW, Suite 300, Atlanta, GA 30315

Encourage students to plug it into GPS ahead of time and allow a few extra minutes for parking.

3. Share Parking Instructions (note: our parking lot is used by an ENTIRE building so space is limited and your students may need to find nearby street parking and walk)

Let students know:

  • where to park

  • where not to park

  • any street parking or lot details

  • that they should arrive early if parking is tight or unfamiliar

4. Communicate Door Timing

We recommend opening doors to students 10 minutes before class and closing/locking the door 5 minutes after class begins. Please remind your students so they can settle in without rushing or disrupting the energy.

5. Ask Students to Arrive a Bit Early

Encourage your students to arrive 10-15 minutes early so they can:

  • find lot or street parking

  • check in with you before class

  • get their props & find a spot

  • decompress before movement

6. Remind Students What to Bring

Light reminders help everyone feel prepared:

  • yoga mat

  • comfy clothes

  • water bottle

7. Have Students Sign a Liability Waiver

New students should be asked to sign our Liability Waiver prior to arrival. They only need to do this once and we will keep it on file.

8. Encourage Phones on Silent

Please remind students to silence devices before class to maintain a soft, peaceful atmosphere.

Lost & Found

Its quicker for you to look for these things and contact your students while they’re still in the area. If we find something, we’re just going to contact you and then you will have to contact your students and then they’ll have to arrange for a pickup when we're available to let them in.

🌙 Using the Space for Content

Yes! You can film short clips or photos for your class promotion.

A few guidelines:

  • No tripod blocking walkways

  • Avoid filming other students without consent

  • Keep sound low if filming before/after class

Start + End Times

Please honor your exact time block per the Scheduling Violation Policy; this ensures smooth transitions between reservations. Teachers are allowed to arrive 30 minutes prior to class start time and use 30 minutes after to close. Please be sure to start and end your actual class on time, not only is it unfair to end a class late for your students without their consent, the studio often has classes back to back, with new students and teachers arriving as others are leaving.

Respect the Sanctuary

If you’d like to host classes with us long term, please take actions that align with that desire every time you are in the studio. If a Studio Manager is not sitting in during your class, please complete the Studio Closing Checklist before leaving. And please leave on time to avoid removal from the program.
