Flow Pass FAQs
Q: Do I need to be certified to teach here?
Yes! We require a minimum CYT or RYT-200 yoga certification (or equivalent if you are certified in something other than yoga). This keeps our space safe, aligned, and rooted in proper training.
Q: Do I need insurance?
Yes, all teachers must submit a Certificate of Insurance (COI) with our studio listed as a certificate holder.
Q: What’s included in my rental?
Everything you need for a professionally run, cozy + grounded class including mats, blocks, blankets straps, consent chips for hands-on correction, sweat towels, bluetooth speaker, essential oils, mat/block cleaner, and flameless candles. Chilled lavender towels and bolsters are also available upon request.
Q: Will you fill up my class for me and then I just show up and teach?
No, you may purchase a MindBody app add-on to assist with visibility and ticket sales, but ultimately you are responsible for marketing your own classes/events and filling your mats.
Q: Can I film content?
Yes. You may film for your website/socials as long as no students are filmed without consent.
Q: How early can I arrive?
You may enter the studio up to 30 minutes prior to your class to get settled. Please keep in mind some students may be leaving a class at this time and your students will begin arriving during this time. You may stay up to 15 minutes after your class ends to clean up and connect with students.
Q: What if my class runs late? Is that ok?
We are free flowing about a lot of things, timing is not one. We have a strict Scheduling Violation policy; failure to end classes on time more than twice will result in removal from membership, cancellation of all future classes and/or inability to use a flow pass in the future.
Q: How many students can I have?
Up to 20. But we recommend keeping it a cozy 10-16 (parking is limited and space between mats is nice)
Q: Can I use incense, sage, candles, palo santo etc?
While we do provide a yummy smelling smoke-free white sage spray, incense and candles may be used with caution.
Q: Can I host wellness workshops, sound bowl classes, floor pilates, special events, etc?
Yes
Q: What’s the sound situation?
Our studio is located in a building of other businesses. We will never guarantee there will never be any noise coming from outside of our studio. A train goes by in the distance every now and then but hey, that’s downtown.
Q: How do I open and close the studio?
Full instructions will be in your pre-session packet and include: entry code, lighting, thermostat, audio, reset process, lock-up procedure
Q: What’s your cancellation/re-scheduling policy?
48-hour notice is required to avoid losing your rental credit. Your session will be credited because reservations once booked are non-refundable. Credits must be used within 30 days.
Q: Can I bring in my own props?
Absolutely, as long as they’re safe for use on hardwood floors.
